Here are some photos of a Sudan War The Men Who Would Be Kings game we played about two years ago at the club. The figures are all from Rick's Sudan War collection. The scenario was a British attack on a Mahdist village. The Mahdists advanced impetuously out of the village to meet the British forces. They managed to destroy the British Camel Corps but suffered heavy casualties. In the end the British were in a position to capture the village, with the remaining Mahdists pinned or too weakened to resist.

Great game photos! I always enjoy seeing camels in a game.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan, yes you can never have too many camels or elephants!
ReplyDeleteWonderful looking game with beautiful figures. A rule set I have been waiting to try out too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, it's a fun set of rules, basically Lion Rampant with tweaks for the colonial period. Pikeman's Lament is good too for ECW and TYW. I think they're releasing Rebels and Traitors early next year which covers AWI through to ACW.
DeleteLovely looking game,great figures,nice terrain!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
