Dacians and Sarmatians close |
Last Wednesday afternoon Garry and Robert came over and we played a Dacians versus Sarmatians MeG Pacto game out in the shed. We diced for sides, Robert and I commanded the Sarmatians and Garry commanded the Dacians. The forces advanced and the Sarmatian lancers charged the Dacian infantry. The combat didn't quite go according to plan for the Sarmatians and those on the left flank fell back for another charge. On the Dacian left flank the Allied Sarmatian lancers charged and this combat proved decisive. The Sarmatians broke with the Dacians winning 15-10 victory points.

Great looking game with two powerful armies, Mike!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, the Sarmatians’ dice rolling was terrible.
DeleteAgree, lovely looking armies!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal, they were mainly Garry’s troops.
DeleteGreat stuff Mick, see you at Cancon in 8 weeks
ReplyDeleteCheers
Matt
Thanks Matt, it’s not far away…
DeleteGreat looking game! Are you enjoying Meg?
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain, it’s fun but it can be a bit fiddly and cheesy with all the characteristics and Kill a Base tests. Overall I think I prefer ADLG.
DeleteA couple of really colourful armies and your collective figures for them are lovely.
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
(I worked out MeG stands for Mortem et Gloriam (thanks to your labels), but had to do a search for Pacto. Their 'cut down' version, I see...)
Thanks James, we find it a better size for our 28mm games otherwise you need stacks of figures.
