Here's another Seleucid armoured elephant and crew for my 15mm Later Seleucids. Figures are by Museum Miniatures with Veni, Vedi, Vici waterslide shield transfers. Below are two comparison shots with the Xyston Seleucid armoured elephant. The Museum Miniatures ellie is easier to assemble and paint.
Superb work on it, really top notch, they must have been an awesome sight on the battlefield.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnie, all the armour makes them look even more imposing.
DeleteAwesome work sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal.
Deletelove how you painted up your Seleucid Armoured Elephants look awesome and :o) fearless? I have Xyston Indain Elephants (havent painted them yet) which are bigger than my Xyston Macedonian/Successor Elephants. I do have Muesum Miniatures Z range Indian elephants which are easy to assemble and paint...
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, I have a Xyston Indian army too, really nice figures. The howdah on the Xyston Seleucid armoured elephant is a bit of a pain to assemble and glue together.
DeleteLovely looking armoured elephant, iconic and splendid!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain, always enjoy painting ellies.
DeleteGreat looking elies, Mike! I always think they're 28mm when I first see them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, there’s some nice 15mm ranges around for sure.
