I thought I do a review of the Numidian command stands and cavalry I have painted to date. Some of these figures had lost spears and shields while others required some touching up. I still have some Warlord Numidian cavalry to finish painting but have mainly infantry to do for my army now.

Very good! Which do you like best and which are the largest?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan, I like the Foundry Numidian cavalry by Dave Gallagher and the Warlord figures the best. They’re slight figures on scrawny ponies, that seems right for Numidians. Victrix or Crusader would be the largest of these.
ReplyDeleteWell done, handsome cavalry!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, very handy troops, the Numidian cavalry.
DeleteGreat looking Numidian command stands. I must say, they must've been quite fearsome to face in actuality.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, absolutely - they were so fast, agile and tough.
DeleteThose look great, inspiration for me to actually pull mine out of their packaging.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Kevin
Thanks Kevin, they're pretty easy to put together and paint the Victrix figures. Unlike the Wargames Factory/Warlord Games Samurai which are very fiddly!
DeleteGreat looking miniatures sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal, it will be good when I finish some infantry and can play a game.
DeleteGreat looking Numidians! It must have been a real shock to them when they ended up in Newcastle, they must have been frozen!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain, I’m sure they were tough but I don’t think they would’ve liked the cold weather.
