Numidian Command and Cavalry Review

Warlord King Juba I figure

Crusader Numidian Prince

A&A Numidian cavalry command

Victrix Numidian cavalry command

I thought I do a review of the Numidian command stands and cavalry I have painted to date. Some of these figures had lost spears and shields while others required some touching up. I still have some Warlord Numidian cavalry to finish painting but have mainly infantry to do for my army now.

  1. Very good! Which do you like best and which are the largest?

  2. Thanks Jonathan, I like the Foundry Numidian cavalry by Dave Gallagher and the Warlord figures the best. They’re slight figures on scrawny ponies, that seems right for Numidians. Victrix or Crusader would be the largest of these.

  4. Great looking Numidian command stands. I must say, they must've been quite fearsome to face in actuality.

  5. Those look great, inspiration for me to actually pull mine out of their packaging.

    1. Thanks Kevin, they're pretty easy to put together and paint the Victrix figures. Unlike the Wargames Factory/Warlord Games Samurai which are very fiddly!

  7. Great looking Numidians! It must have been a real shock to them when they ended up in Newcastle, they must have been frozen!

    1. Thanks Iain, I’m sure they were tough but I don’t think they would’ve liked the cold weather.
